Someday you try to open a file and your OS says it does not know how to open the file or the there is no application through which you can open the file its time to hunt and find what the file extension means. On windows most of the time the file extension is hidden which you can reveal through folder options. Getting back to file extensions here are 5 sites which tell you in detail about the most commonly used file extensions or types of file so next time you don’t keep on wondering what does that file format does.
