Two days back I threw an interesting question on what You will do if you get your favorite blog’s authority. My favorite blog is Darren’s Blog Problogger.Net and here are things I would do if I get it for a day.

#1 Make an Important Notice

I would make an important notice as a post to tell the readers Darren has given someone authority for a day as he wants to enjoy the whole day with family. Moreover he would like to introduce a new blogger to his readers at the end of the day. After this I would stay calm for some hours preparing and analyzing.

#2 Analyze his Blogs Theme

I would like to know how his blog works internally.

• His Styles made for IE and FF.
• Scripts used for SEO and Advertising.
• Where has he used it so I can understand How he is targeting readers and the first comers.

He gets best support in those terms. He is not a technical guy but there are people who suggest him and They are pretty high profile people. So that’s one benefit I would like to get

#3 Analyze Posts Category Wise

Its really important to know how any body keeps linking from one post to other and another and If they fall in same category or they he links it randomly. How many posts are in individual categories and find which gives his blog more points. I can do it now also but using WordPress engine it will me much faster than this.

#4 Analyze What gets most Traffic

1. I would analyze his blogs stats to find out what brings him traffic first.
2. Then I would Digg down to to see why they bring him that amount of traffic.
3. This would give me better understanding of How to write certain things and where to hit them

#5 Analyze his footprints

I would start from his first post and then move on to latest to see How he changed things as he blogged and got more experience. My father always told me if You want to be like him Don’t dream but find what made him this.

Experienced and great people have their own way of teaching. They leave signs and hints for people to follow and If you can find those signs you will be someone like him one day.

And Now I will start the Fun time to interact with readers.

#6 Make a post next day

Then I would prepare a post next day about my experience on Darren’s blog for day and Things I have learn ( Obviously not share the data and neither I am carrying any data in my Inbox). Then I would ask people what would they have done if they would have got Problogger’s Authority for a day.

This would open a new channel and thought from the readers. He has very committed readers who share their views and ideas. I can bet that at least 20% of his ideas comes from there if not more.

#7 Call up Darren :

Then I would probably call up Darren telling him how I felt about it and send him in mail about what I have analyzed. This data can be beneficial for him to as he gets to know his blog from a different angle and totally from a person who doesn’t have a blog about blogging.

This is just an idea that triggered my though 3 days back. I hope I have not made any offensive statement in this post. If you do get time I would surely like to hear your comment on this.

Its a year now for this blog and I thought of doing something different and This was the right post!. I would thanks to all my readers fro their continuous support and comments even though mine has gone down since sometime due to basic reasons.
