There are services which we had talked about previously though it allows you send sms of 80 characters and rest 80 being used for advertisement which is not the case in Google SMS channel.

PayPal uses the National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) system. Please provide the IFSC code of a participating branch location. If you provide an IFSC code from a bank branch that is not part of the NEFT network, your withdrawal will not be completed and a return fee will be charged

Looking for it I found a useful at RBI ( Reserve Bank Of India ) site which tell’s us all about NEFT . I have taken up 3 important questions from there

Q.1. What is NEFT System?

Ans: National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) system is a nation wide funds transfer system to facilitate transfer of funds from any bank branch to any other bank branch.

Q. 2. Are all bank branches in the system part of the funds transfer network?
Ans: No. As on December 29, 2007, 34510 branches of 82 banks are participating. Steps are being taken to widen the coverage both in terms of banks and branches.

Q.10. How I will know which are the branches participating in the NEFT?

Ans: RBI publishes the list of bank branches participating in the NEFT on its website i.e. http://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/neft.aspx

• Integrated with online shops like Amazon, Ebay.
• Two of the Search results List view and graph are good if you are looking for details and a comparison between selected products.
• You can click on the product to see more details before you finally opt out to move to the online shop.
• It also provides “My Folder ” or you can call it as your shopping cart. This folder you can email to your friend or yourself to see it later on.

The advantage I see is you can search both the online shops ( amazon and ebay ) at same place though not simultaneously which they can take it as enhancement point if possible.  Now time for some detailed images.

Here are the details:

• Follow the Receiving Funds via ICICI Bank RAPID Remittance: ( click to open) .
• At the end of the page you will see “Please Click here to view list of Banks and Bank Branches enabled for RTGS transactions and their IFSC codes”
• That links will start a download process of a 6MB excel file which contains RTGS and IFSC codes of Indian Banks.

However a word of caution., Please call your bank branch and get the code from them directly of if you are using this file, again verify it. I don’t think these codes will change but when it comes to money, be cautious.

Real time gross settlement (RTGS) system, designed to make inter-bank payments and receipts safe, transparent and efficient

What is IFSC ?

Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) is an alpha numeric code designed to uniquely identify the bank-branches in India. This is 11 digit code with first 4 characters representing the banks code, the next character reserved as control character (Presently 0 appears in the fifth position) and remaining 6 characters to identify the branch. The MICR code has 9 digits to identify the bank-branch.

This is a great feature now in PayPal which will pull down many services like xoom and others who used to charge a lot of transaction. Login to your PayPal account and click on Withdraw money. Now you will see option of bot withdrawing to an Indian account and us bank account as well. So if you are in America and want to transfer money to any Indian bank, Its a simple process now. Finally the discussion of transferring money to Indian Debbit cards have to come to an end now

The Listed Indian Banks which are included in PayPal withdrawal list for Indians

• Canara Bank
• Union Bank Of India
• HDFC Bank
• ICICI Bank
• ING VYSYA Bank

I am not sure which counties have been covered in this but one of help line says

You should allow 5-7 business days for your funds to post to your card, but may take more time, depending on your bank’s policies”
