Guruji vs google

I am honored to receive a comment from Guruji.Sagar ( One in Team of Guruji) has made some clarification regarding my old post on Guruji. You can read the old post here.

Update:Ok before you start reading. Some people asked me what is this about.I would like to make it more clear.Guruji.com is a Indian Search engine, Started by Ex IItian’s .

Here is his comment:-

ON BEHALF OF GURUJI.COM -

Dear Ashish, (@FriedBeef)

Thanks for your coverage on Guruji.com. However, I would like to make a clarification regarding the quote “.. In this model the search engines do not rank results by relevance but by the amount of money paid…” -

Guruj.com’s search results are completely based on the relevance of the result to our user’s search query. We DO NOT (today or ever) rank the results based on money paid by the websites. Our sole criterion in presenting the results is RELEVANCE and relevance alone. This relevance score is computed by a complex algorithm that takes into account various parameters like content quality, reputation of the source, content association with what is being searched and so on.

Globally, most search engines base their revenue model on Pay Per Click (PPC) basis. These are Ads displayed as “Sponspored Links”. These are different from the natural results that you see on the left siide.

At this point of time, we do not have an Ad server and we show only natural results.

To know more about How Guruji works you can read a post explianing the same on our blog - http://blog.guruji.com

If you have any more queries write to us at support@guruji.com

Thanks for your time and keep exploring India at www.guruji.com .Have a good day.
