JAlbum - Create Albums, Slides and Host your Images for free

JAlbum is another Image hosting site with lot of features like creating customized albums with Skins , adding tunes in background ( Royalty free tunes ) and Image format plugins Java Advanced Imaging Image I/O Tools plugin from Sun. It java based Jalbum Software allows you to create, manage and modify your albums from desktop itself. The software is a little big around 15Mb but there are lot of features inside. Here is the list of features which I find intresting

  • Skins : Which you can use it as background of your slideshow or photalbum you create.
  • Background Tunes: You can add some royalty free tunes to be played in the background while your slide show runs.
  • The Slide show can be integrated along with your site. Its not a one step thing but worth trying it.
  • Management of you slides and albums are easy. You can do it directly from your desktop and update it. It looks around for changes and modifies.
  • Available for Mac, Linux and Windows.

I am still using it to get more features out if it. But to be honest it will take time to get to know all the details about how to use it. You can try it out and see how it goes. The free account holds 30 MB and fit 200 pictures to start out with.
