Create custom views for Windows Vista Error Logs
In Windows, error logs are something which are not only difficult to understand but with so many of the error types and error logs available it makes it confusing too. However in Windows Vista you can make it easier for youself by creating a new view and just keep track of the views which you would like to see.

Windows vista Even Viewer

Just right click on my computer and the Manage. Under the screen which opens up look for System Tools > Event Viewer. This is one stop place to see all types of errors which your windows is recording. Now check on the right hand side and you would see the actions.
This is the place you can create a custom view and you can choose to create it either by event logs or Sources. The power of this view can only be understood when you see you can even choose the services like Outlook and similar ones.
So if you want to monitor certain services this is the correct place to do it.

This will be really useful for developers like me who deal with lot of windows application and development. I can really create view of the applications I know will be used and see when there is a crash.
