Create Free live broadcast with Procaster
Creating live meetings or screen casting is one of the effective ways to deliver your idea to your team or the whole world. I have used Office Live meeting a couple of time and this time I had a look into Procaster which is another live streaming tool from Mogulus Live Broadcast which I find much more effective.
Lets take a look at what are the features supported :
- Record & Play
- Broadcast Your Camera, Screen, Game
- HD quality streaming possible with 16:9, HD and auto-adapting framerate.
- Chat with moderation. This helps you in taking attendees questions
- Mix in Realtime 2D/3D : Mix multiple inputs like a professional TV studio. Includes picture-in-picture and real time 3D layouts.
Once you register with them, you need to create channel where you can do your screen casting etc. Like I did here was writing this article and sharing screen with Manav so we can test it out.
And the best part is the desktop application which they give integrates with their streaming service and your live streaming will complete without getting a hiccup of voice.
You also get a small menubar when you run this application positioned right below which allows you to stop, zoom in and out and also minimize.
In order to let others view your live broadcasting, You need to send the channel url where they can opt for full screen view.
Procaster service is free to use as many times you want but there is a limitation on speed you get which is 500 KPBS which is more the enough for doing a small meeting of max 3 people and also help each other online. With pro version you get lot many feature which is required for professional services.
