Extract iPhone / iPod Touch backup in Mac OS X

If you are looking for something which lets you explore iPhone or iPod backup files in Mac OS X then you should give iPhone / iPod Touch backup extractor ( FREE ) a try. It is compatible with iTunes 8.1 in which some changes to backup has been made.

This application, developed by Pádraig,  can extract files and make it usable in Mac OS X leopard environment. You can then explore files using apps like Finder and also find Call History, SMS messages, and Notes details stored in sql database backup.

An excellent way to recover your pictures or just use it in your computer without connecting them together. Moreover this application can also help developers to find bugs and fix them for any application they had developed for iphone or itouch.
