Find the anonymous edits on Wikipedia Live !!
How many people edit Wikipedia pages really hard to imagine but not to view it. No kidding on this part. Wikipedia Vision , An online application which allows you to see the anonymous edits in real time on Google Maps.
It uses a public page on Wikipedia that is automatically updated and contains all the recent edits, as well as the user name or IP address of anyone who edits an article.Hhere is a small animation for you to watch it
The map spots display the
- The title of the article,
- Summary of the edit
- Link to the changes that were made to the article,
- Geographical location of the wikipedia user.
- The time the edit happened.
I find this concept very interesting and useful for Wikipedia Managers. Though they are pro in managing the spam and edits being done but this kind of tool that can excel their work.
Literally finding from where people are coming and which pages they are editing just rocks. If this tool can be taken to the next level by adding more features like Stats, it will make a lot more sense than what it is now. Check out Wikipedia Vision.
