Find remaining Laptop Battery power with mouse cursor
Imagine yourself in some scenario when you are working on something too important and all of a sudden your Laptop or Notebook battery is reported to have just 10% or 15% remaining, and you don’t have a power point within reach.
This is something which is at all not alien to most of us, and this often happens because we get engrossed in working and forget to check on the battery status.
Now, if we have something which keeps us informed about the battery status right in front of your eyes every moment, could be useful, like if you know that the remaining charge in your battery is less, you can take steps like dim the display, stop any type of audio etc.
BattCursor is a small application which can keep you updated about the remaining battery power on your system. Latest version of BattCursor needs a 600KB zip file download. When installed and run, can be accesed from the tray.
This is how the BattCursor displays the remaining battery power.

Right click on the tray icon of BattCursor allows you to access settings, which renders the options to fully customize it for you, you can -
- Choose the colors for the mouse cursor at different battery levels.
- Decide the settings under ‘Battery Tweaks’ so as to get a slower rate of battery drain.
- Choose when to enable the BattCursor, may be you don’t want the battery level to be displayed while plugged in to direct supply.

As stated on the homepage of BattCursor, runs only on Vista, but I tested it on Windows 7, works fine enough.
Try it and see if you to find it useful, do share with us if you find it useful or not. Download BattCursor
