Firefox 3 : Site Identification button, What else you can do ?
By Ashish MohtaIn the last post we talked about how you can download all the images in one shot using Firefox 3. However I found that here are lot of things you can do with the Firefox 3 Site Identification button. Lets Have a look.

Discovering the Site Keyword and Description:
This is good if you want to find out what keyword and description your competitior is using or if you want to analyze your won site for this. This is pretty handy as it allows you directly copy them.!!!
Finding Page Size :
Now this is so easy to find if your page is heavy or not. Yu can see the size and think of optimizing if its too heavy and remove some images or optimize the css.

Finding the Image size:
Like we talked on the last post about saving images, you can also find out the size of the individual images. This way you can think on optimizing images.

Discovering the feeds:
This is not something out of the box but in case you are not able to find the feed link of any site. Just check the Feeds tab. This way you can even check if the feeds are getting auto discovered in the page else you will need to reconfigure.

How many times you visited the site before ?
This is something very unique. If you want to know how many times you have visited this site before, just check under security ( Privacy and History ). Here you can also find the passwords and cookies related to that site.

So what do you think ? Any more thing you are seeing you can do with it. Share with your post link or comments.
