Firefox developers planning for new security protections
Firefox developers have started planning for new strategies for securing the browser more specially against the major ones
- Cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks
- Cross-site request forgeries
According to this source
The protection would allow developers of one site to explicitly define which domains are allowed to initiate or answer cross-site requests for code, cookies and other site resources. These policies will describe which scripts in a page should be treated as valid and how web content should be permitted to initiate cross-site requests
This is a very good step in making the browser more secured in long term.
I am not able to find the original news ( If it was posted by the Mozilla people anywhere ) but if you do please tell us so we can digg into more details.
