Fish Bowl : Microsoft Launches Silverface based Facebook Client

Silverlight 4 is yet to be released but Microsoft has launched a full-blown desktop client for Facebook which is built on Silverface which is built on Silverlight 4. This app not only looks awesome when it comes to user interface but integrates well with Windows 7 Superbar. Here are the snapshots : ( The best I liked was the way Fishbowl re sizes without loosing much of tools required to interact with Facebook)

Why do you have a link that says sourcecode available at codeplex, and yet there is not sourcecode. I don’t understand how there could be so many articles about fishbowl, and about the new facebook sdk being silverlight capable, and yet there are no good working code samples of silverlight facebook interaction. Yes there is this fishbowl app, but it does not use the new sdk, and there is no source code. The silverlight samples for the facebook sdk are full of bugs, do not work in the existing form, and there is no clear documentation. It may seem like a simple oversight, but am I the only one who is extremely frustrated by all the blogs and articles that make statements like “sourcecode available” when it doesn’t exist? I hate to pick on this blog, but if I were writing a blog, I would at least change my blog to say “Sourcecode will be available in the future at codeplex”.
