Fuel Clinic: Calculate and Track your Gas Mileage online

Better Mileage is something we all desire to have while using your vehicle. This is not a need of just an individual; this is something which has direct impact on carbon footprints and issues like Global Warming, moreover the resources of the general fuels like diesel, petrol etc. are limited.

So, saving fuel, and driving a vehicle with better mileage is the first and easiest step, probably, keeping this in mind, this online tool ‘Fuel Clinic’ was developed.

Let us see what Fuel Clinic is all about, according to the homepage –

“This website will show you how improve your gas mileage and get 10% to 20% better MPG (sometimes more) using the vehicle that you already own, without any fuel additives or gizmos, and it won’t cost you a dime.”

And all this will be done by, Calculating and Tracking your actual gas mileage, effective driving techniques are taught to improve your gas mileage.

To get this all done, you will have to add some details like the fuel receipt (how much fuel you bought, what fuel was it etc.), the distance travelled etc.

Once you create an account you can add up to 5 vehicles and track them accordingly.

fuel clinic interface to access and edit the details for your vehicle

Shown above is a snapshot from the demo account, you can browse through the tabs on top to edit and view the detailed information.

The units of fuel volume and currency can be changed as per your needs to get details according to the system followed in your country, as of now, they have very limited currencies being shown on Fuel Clinic, but as the volume units are available, I think people who don’t have their currency listed on Fuel Clinic can use the conversions, like Indians can enter the details in terms of USD(fix the amount which is close may be something like 1USD =  Rs 45 or Rs 50), and use the service..

A widget to export all your data to CSV format will soon be available at Fuel Clinic.

So go ahead create an account, and start saving and contributing against Global Warming, after all “Charity begins at home.” isn’t it?

You can first try Fuel Clinic using a demo account, later sign up for an account.
