Google Docs now support Office 2007 Excel ( Officially )
Google Docs has officially added support for Office 2007 Excel ( XSLX format ) which allows you to upload / import and view excel 2007 file in Google docs but minus all those color effeteness and feature which Microsoft Office 2007 supports.
This will make the bridging possible between people who use Office 2007 and Google Docs. However there is no information about this on the upload page but available on their New Features Launch Page which says
XLSX import
You can now import supporting cell data, formatting, formulas, font style, background color, named ranges, frozen panes, and horizontal merges from Excel ‘07. Learn more
