By Ashish Mohta

Security is always a hot topic which attracts all the types of people.A normal home user or a big data center.Since coming years trend of attacking security loop holes have changed.Hackers are devicing new ideas to crack a website.Lets Take a look what this year we have:

WHAT’S HOT :

  1. End point protection
  2. Auditing
  3. Automated Security.

WHAT’S NOT:

  1. Antivirus
  2. Compliance.
  3. Coded( and recode and recodeed) security.

Future Watch::

  • Advanced Identity Management
If you have got as many groups as some prganizations have users, this is worth while [ath to pursue.
  • Database Extrusion Detection
The products are stable and designed for your dtatabases, just be certain you know performance impact before implimenting.
  • SOA security:
This concept is not new but they are becoming more and more necessary due to the intercompatibilty between different kind of platforms. if you are using more and more of xml in ur business, they are worth it.

UpShot:

  • Anti viruses will die as stand alone application.Unless combined to fight against malware and spyware, they will slowly get eradicated from the enterprise space.
  • SOA security will be removed from the application side and will be integrated more and more on the network side.More specifically to gateways or purpose built appliances.
  • Active memory protection will show up on desktops and servers in next 18 to 24 months because you choose it or it came bundled in other protection systems.
