I am not aware about mac , but then there is something in Windows too which creates a virtual printer and lets you print anything to pdf. It came with Adobe I think which you must be knowing for sure.

If you can share what works in mac to create pdf will be great !!

I think there is a Free PDF Printer/Creator or something like that for Windows and it do not come from Adobe. You’ll need Adobe PDF Distiller to do the way it can print to PDF but Distiller is not free. For the mac, it comes inbuilt with OS X and do not need any external software. In OS X, It is usually

File > Print > “Save as PDF” (instead of the actual print)

It seems that there are lot of options which allows us to create pdf but then thats it. If you are looking for professional touch , a professional software will be required

if one cannot afford the money, can legally produce pdf from any document by using the online service from pdfonline.com
