Recently we underwent training for Microsoft Silverlight and we needed  to install Silverlight tools for Visual Studio 2008 . This was a problem because anybody who wants to do it will not be able to install unless he or she has internet connection. Then we started spoofing where the Silverlight tools setup was pointing to ( on internet ) and we found it was trying to download Poi abbiamo iniziato a spoofing in cui il programma di installazione di strumenti di Silverlight è stata punta a (su internet) e abbiamo trovato che stava cercando di scaricare Silverlight 2 Developer Run time Silverlight 2 per sviluppatori runtime . We guessed that since the developer runtime was installed on the machine, the Silverlight Tools for Visual Studio installer will not connect which was not the case. It again was trying to connect to internet. Essa è stata nuovamente tentando di connettersi a Internet. ( I guess Microsoft should fix this by at least checking the version installed ). There was nothing else left except to connect internet and at this moment one of our teammate came with an idea saying like any other installer it must be creating a temporary folder before installing and it will download the Silverlight 2 developer runtime in that. Non c'era niente altro a sinistra, ad eccezione di connettersi a Internet e, in questo momento, uno della nostra squadra è venuto con l'idea dicendo come qualsiasi altra installazione si deve creare una cartella temporanea prima di installare e verrà scaricato il Silverlight 2 sviluppatore di runtime in questo senso.

We immediately tool a look at the temporary folders ( %TEMP% ) and bingo it had a folder called as Silverlight Tools RTW .  This can solve one problem that we can put the Developer runtime exe there but since the Silverlight tools will still look to internet it wont work . Abbiamo immediatamente strumento un'occhiata alle cartelle temporanee (% temp%) e bingo aveva una cartella denominata come Silverlight Strumenti RTW. Questo può risolvere un problema che possiamo mettere il sviluppatori di runtime exe, ma dato che il Silverlight strumenti ancora guardano a Internet è solito lavoro. However since the setup was some kind of archive thing we were able to extract it and thats it. One of the The extracted file was named Vs_silverlight_tools.exe . Uno dei file estratti è stato nominato Vs_silverlight_tools.exe. We just ran it and Silverlight tools was installed. In Short the VS_Silverlight_tools.exe either did not check if the Developer runtime was installed or may be it did. We were not sure on this but anyway our problem was solved. Abbiamo appena eseguito e strumenti di Silverlight è stato installato. In breve la VS_Silverlight_tools.exe o non controllare se gli sviluppatori è stato installato il runtime possono essere o ha fatto. Non è stato certo su questo, ma comunque il nostro problema è stato risolto.

I cant provide you with a screen shot here as I cant take anything out of my office and I cant simulate the same thing on my machine at home.
