How to limit bandwidth usage in uTorrent [ and Save Money ]

uTorrent is one of the most powerful tools which allows you to download files across the world. But downloading too much can get you in problem with your ISP ( Internet Service Provider )  even on an Unlimited Plan resulting in temporary ban by your ISP or pay extra money for over usage of  bandwidth. Why ? Unlimited plan is technically not limited at all but has limit set to very high which is calculated based on how much data their user consumed. For example for my Airtel broadband Unlimited data plan it is set to 100GB which normally I wont exceed.

uTorrent 2.0 has included a feature, Transfer Cap, which will help you keeping a cap on amount of data used in last 31 days. It allows you to completely stop uTorrent data transfer if cap limit is exceeded.

This way you don’t get banned by your internet provider as you never exceed the limit. I would suggest you to keep at least 5 to 10 Gb less than what your ISP provides so if you do have few days left , you don’t get problem with your work on internet.
