We already discussed that packet sniffers are very hard to detect because they are passive, which means the sit on background reading the network stream and never send out data. • IP Security : This method adds security at packet level. Segurança IP: Este método acrescenta nível de segurança em pacotes. Each packet has a header is encrypted which contains the major information like address and others. Cada pacote tem um cabeçalho é criptografado que contém as principais informações como endereço e outros.
• PGP and MIME : Commonly used in Email services. MIME e PGP: comumente utilizados em serviços de e-mail. As the emails are stored for extended period of time, its best to use them so the emails don’t landup in wrong mailboxes. Como a e-mails são armazenados por período prolongado de tempo, o seu melhor para utilizá-los de modo a e-mails não landup errado em caixas de correio.
• VPN or Virtual Private Network : VPN’s are special for providing encrypted data across the internet. VPN ou Rede Privada Virtual: VPN's são especiais para fornecer dados criptografados em toda a Internet. SO they are more secured but if somebody hacks in they can see the data even before its encrypted.
