How to send mails from your real account Anonymously
In case you want to send an email, to someone, and you somehow don’t want your real email address to be exposed, in such case, there are several anonymous email services, which can be used as a solution in such cases.
The anonymous email services (which I have come across till now), generally doesn’t allow you to send the emails directly from your actual account, but you can receive the replies in your account but again that will let the receiver see your email address.
akapost is a service which allows you to send/receive emails directly from your actual email account but still you can hide your original email id. Sign up process is simple, just requires a username, your actual email address, and a captcha. Later you can access the account page and make the settings as per your needs.
What will akapost do for you.
- ‘username@akapost.com’ will be the email address displayed to the receiver.
- Sending an email from your actual mail account, just needs ‘.akapost.com’ to appended at the end of receivers email address.
- By any means your email address is not accessible to the receiver.
- You can close this account on akapost, any time.
- All the mails sent at your akapost email address are redirected to your actual mail address.
- To have a better understanding of its working, you can have a look at this page.
Here are the snapshots.

My experience with akapost
- Very simple and easy to use interface.
- Works fine.
- In spite of the fact that email via akapost has to travel a larger route, emails are never delayed.
This service can be useful for people who, due to some reasons or other don’t want to get identified, and as once the account is setup, you actually never have to access the akapost page, so its pretty convenient as well. What do you have to say on this?
