Don’t be surprised but that’s true for more than 90% of the people working in software industry. Its not about me or about anybody in particular but a big mass of people who are not only earning well but they are well qualified.Just growing good in education earning $$$$ doesn’t make you a good citizen.You are judged by what you do…..and if if you do all the below craps trust me somebody is watching you.

Today is Blog Action Day and taking the theme of Environment I am pulling up this issues which is a growing major concern in India. Being a major part of Indian growth do you take enough responsibility towards being a good citizen? I would expect a null answer or just a laugh if asked to some of my friends.

Software Industry had grown well in major parts of the country and so is the amount of cars and vehicles. We are earning a good some of money with perks included. But how of that money do we use to keep our vehicles pollution free ? Honestly speaking I have seen 10% of people to be very aware of that. Why ? Its simple we don’t understand what are our responsibilities even though you have grown to be one of the smartest citizen of your country but we still spit around on road, we still throw packets anywhere we feel like and yeah We never get our vehicle pollution free. I have even heard of people paying for false papers telling the vehicles are clean.

Its not a preach nor its a suggestion but its just few questions we all should think about.

Here are quite a few points which you should at least give a one second thought if you cant implement it.

• Do you still throw out food packets anywhere after eating it ?
• I know you have a habit of chewing…Do you spit around anywhere you see a corner ?
• Do you turn off your vehicle when it goes red and you still have 60 seconds to go ?
• Do you really get your vehicles pollution free ?
• Software professional has major percentage who smoke. Do you throw the cig bud anywhere you like ?
• Do you keep your house clean ? Yes…do you even try to keep your roads clean by at least not making it a garbage box ?
• There is a USE ME box at every theater… Are you still leaving your after eat waste under the theater seats ?
• Do you even try to find a Dustbin or waste box before you throw garbage ?

I can probably list another 10 but the base line is , You know you are doing wrong but still do it. Its bad we don’t have very strict laws here else you would have given everything a second thought. Take a look around and see its your home which you are spoiling.

Take some responsibility. At least try following some if not all. Only with time we can learn slowly. It will take time but only we all start trying it from today.
