powercfg –ENERGY Report to Improve battery life in Windows 7

Windows 7 has command which can analyze your computer and its devices and give you a report pointing out to devices which either did not pass or were at part with the Power Efficiency Diagnostics test.

  • Open Command prompt in Administrator mode ( Type in CMD, Right click and run as administrator )
  • Type in powercfg –ENERGY
  • And it generates a report in 60 seconds

The analysis report consists of Errors, Warnings of list of devices, processes running on Windows 7 which might be draining your battery when power goes of or you put it on sleep mode.
