Can we have an OPML exchange - Exchange links of blogs you read with mine

By Ashish Mohta

Hello Everybody!

You must be wondering what am I talking about? Ok let me simplify for you. This is not any technical thing.OPML is the file generated when you export all the favorite blog links from a feed reader.

Its really hard to keep on finding good blogs, hunting down and then adding to yoru reader.I was talking to my friend rishi and he just asked “Can we have an OPML exchange?” .It clicked me an idea why not we ppl exchange OMPL files and add to our readers. If you have a set of blogs u read we can share it and get more benefit!!!

Whats the Benefit ?

  • You get to know good blogs for which u might have to hunt down and you have no time.
  • You start putting comments on those blogs and if you are a good reader and commentator, they will come to your blog and become a regular reader.
  • Then you can start linking to them when you find good post , just make a post on weekends about the post you liked and when they see you doing this they might do it for you.

How to get the file:

Look  for a export/import option in you freed reader.Select export , it can open in browser then save.Simple!!!

So what do you think ? Can we exchange the blog links you read with mine ? If you really like the idea, just email me at ashish[dot]mohta[at]gmail[dot]com with your fav blog links in OMPL file and I will email you back with mine.!!!

And this you can take as a blog tip for increasing the readership

Nice idea, and I have tried it once. Where to get your email id from…sorry if I missed that on your contact page. You may send it at dontrivedigmail.com will be sending mine pretty soon. One more thing, just dont limit it to exchange, it would make a good data bank to find out what indian tech bloggers are reading, as it is well known ‘reading maketh man’ or something like that.
Bye they way you can drop at geekgam.blogspot.com
