Today We will meet and hear from James, Author of Friedbeef. He is from Malaysia and writes on technology which solves your daily problem. Right from Paypal usage to wikipedia. Ashish: What did spark the idea of Tech blogging to you ?

James Says: I’m always telling my friends about cool news stuff on the web. The blog was just a natural progression and a away to reach more people.

Ashish: How your blog helps readers to understand technology ?

James Says: I try to make it as simple as possible - but at the same time - make it useful :)

Ashish: Which point you think is very crucial in Tech Blogging ?

James Says: Don’t be an echo chamber. Have your own take on a subject, add your own value, push your own input.

Ashish: Before making a post how you analyze it?

James Says:By doing tons of research - which isn’t very hard using this method. Check out 5 Steps for effective rss management

Ashish: What kind of readers you are targeting ?

James Says: People who are interested in learning

Ashish: How you upgrade yourself with technology ?

James Says : By trying out cool new blog plugins, and improving my work flow with a ton of freeware which really helps me out

Ashish: How you measure that readers have grown with your blog in terms of knowledge?

James Says: That’s hard - but I try to reference them to archive posts in case some of my readers need a refresher on a previously discussed topic.

Ashish: How you target new visitors to become a reader?

James Says: Content before advertising. Not just what you write, but the placement and layout of the page.

Ashish: How you see you and your blog after 5 yrs ?

James Says: see it becoming a network - throwing out tons of good content (hopefully)
