Life Cycle of Traffic generating groups [ Random Thoughts ]
Its a bare fact that there always groups for Stumble, Digg or Delicious where people help each other out to give points to each other articles and try to get popular. Here is the Life Cycle of these kind of groups:
Beginning
- It starts pretty good. Every body is expecting that they will be getting good traffic
- Now you start sending mail for all your good posts you write and so do the others.
- You support each and every post without seeing you like or not.
- You also get the support back. Nice.
Time where people starts getting irritated:
- Seeing the huge support now the number of emails is 3 times before with around 3 links each.
- People are surprised and they feel that now its just traffic games ( Wonder they did not realize before )
- Now they read and see if hey like it else they just delete the mail.
Death Time
- People start hating and say to themselves, this group has become useless.
- People start sending mails and say , I am leaving the group.
- Number of emails goes down and now you send only posts which are really good.
- You still don’t get any points.
What went wrong ? Why are you not getting any points for even your good posts now ? Is it just people don’t like it or Something else . Can you see it ?
