MAC OS X Major Security Updates from Apple
Apple released around 20 20 Mac OS X update, this Thursday, This fixes flaws in about operating system services and components, including the Mac’s AirPort driver software, Help Viewer, and Installer application. This update is being stated as Major Update as it contains major security patches. As per the note released from Apple Inc, those bugs can even crash your system and allow attackers to run software on Mac machines. - AFP Client : Impact: A local user may obtain system privileges
- AirPort and Carbon Core: Impact: A local user may be able to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
- diskdev_cmds: Impact: Opening a maliciously-crafted UFS disk image may lead to an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution
- fetchmail: Impact: fetchmail may send passwords in plain text, even when configured to use TLS……………..
