Markkit button-Allows your readers to be more precise while sharing your posts

Sharing a blog post which impressed you somehow is a very common trend, but an issue arises when you share a long post or page with loads of info on it, but somehow you actually are interested in sharing couple of sentences or may be just a paragraph.

We have talked about a tool named as Awesome Highlighter allows you to highlight the part of text on the webpage before you share it.

Markkit is also a tool of same kind, in fact add-on for browsers. You simply need to drag n drop the highlighter image to your browser toolbar.

And when you feel like sharing any webpage with the points/text highlighted on it, simply click the Markkit button; this generates a new URL for the same page, with a feature in which you can select text to highlight it.

Shown below is snapshot of Wikipedia page highlighted with Markkit, you can also have a look at this highlighted page here.

This tool also offers a widget for your blog, so now you can add a button on your blog for Markkit, which makes the life of your readers (something every blogger wants to do isn’t it?) who want to share your posts with others. This embed code can be copied from here.

I tried Markkit add-on in Firefox, and it works pretty fine. Moreover there is a cunning side for Markkit, it can at times work as a proxy for you in your office or college for banned sites.

So try Markkit, either on your blog, or simply for sharing pages, do tell us how you liked it. Try Markkit

How can I delete the “Markkit” logo on the webpage? How can I turn Markkit off? It won’t go away.

OK, I found out how to stop displaying the Markkit logo. I reloaded my home page and that stopped it. Thank you!

Can someone explain how to use this on Google Chrome? I cannot get it to stay on my window for the life of me– every time I type in a new address the red tab disappears. The only things I can highlight are the words on Markkit.net! Totally useless!

Does anyone use it on Google Chrome?

@ Karen C. Markkit works perfectly fine with Chrome as well, you need to enable ‘Always show Bookmarks bar’ option by right clicking the bookmark bar on a blank tab, and later drag and drop Markkit bookmarklet on this bar, rest of the procedure is as explained above.
Have a look at this –

Try it out and tell us if you face any further issues.
