Mobile Phone or Mobile TV ?

It started with calling “anytime anywhere” to text messages to video messaging and Now we are standing at the era where you can watch famous news channel like CNN and BBC right on your phones.Welcome to the Next Big thing in the race “Mobile Phone TV”.The world is moving fast from one technology to another and to be honest we still are not ready for it.3G Phones had not been properly consumed by the world and we already have 4G phones on the way.

With Verizon Wireless announcing that it is set to offer popular programs from NBC,CBS,FOX and MTV to its cellular subscribers, mobile phones in USA are looking for when this new service will be launched. Verizon has tied up with MedioFLO USA - a Qualcomm subsidiary to offer Mobile TV, thus saving on the cost of deploying and operating its network

What is Mobile TV ?

Mobile TVMost of us can figure the answer by its name but Its not just a mere TV.In simple words..its Interactive TV on Mobile.Thus you can see your favourite channel right on to your Mobile TV supported Handset like Vodafone 3G Mobile TV Handset and SCH-U620 Mobile TV Handset launched by Samsung, on run anytime anywhere.


Why Mobile TV ?

Any technology introduced should have a reason to survive.World is slowly moving towards mobile in all the respects. Camera, Video shooting, Internet surfing, Chatting, News and what not.Soon the people will have no time to turn on the video box.

How does it Work ?

Mobile TV’s are Interactive TV on run, more like on demand.We can have all the features like Storing Videos on mobiles, requesting for particular TV shows according to our time.All we need is to subscribe to our cellular network who is offering Mobile TV service.Its like you subscribe to a blog rss but with an added advantage, you get it delivered when you want it, say during your off time.

A Potential Market

Mobile TV has a huge market in coming future.Cellular Service Provider can offer the users this service at some minimal cost and if you have a supported handset you will really enjoy.This can help mobile operators to cover up the market they are loosing against IP telephony where calling is very cheap.
