Moved to VPS
Recently This site was facing problem being in the shared hosting package and taking to our host finally resulted in moving this blog to a VPS ( Better Server). The primary reason was increased traffic which was taking more resource.
The only problem I was facing was currently I am on dial up due to some reason and VPS is like Do it Yourself stuff, but thanks a lot to my Host Asmallorange , which took care of everything and I would thanks personally to B.J.Strange who took care of everything else I would have to wait for some more days and this site would have faced downtimes.
The best part was I never faced any DNS propagation delay either. It was like 4-5 hrs the first time I moved here and this time it was like 10 minutes max.
It takes a little time for everything to get working as it is moved to new server and everything is setup newly. If you find any problems do tell us through our contact form and just leaving a comment below.
A small note of my current host which I would recommend
- There is no overselling. I like this personally as things are clear
- Its always better to pay for things than getting things cheap and later face problems here and there. If you are ready to pay few more dollars this can be your best solution
- I was on shared hosting since 6 months here and when one of my post hit the front page on digg and received a massive traffic of 50000 hits in a day, This host never said anything to me. This gives you an idea the kind of servers they have
- The support team is awesome and very clear on points. The response time is pretty quick.
- They Even maintain a Wiki where you can find lot of details on doing stuff which is suggested my other users and the host itself.
So if you are a kind of person who don’t mind pay a little extra but all you care about is reliability, trust me this can be your best deal. If you have any question regarding this do ask me in comments You can get some 15% off on the first signup.
Thanks for your time reading this and If you see any problem here and there do tell us
