Online Clipboard perfect for Programmers
Recently we talked about hey Paste it which allows you to remember all your copied text at one place but if you are a programmer putting all your code into plain doesn’t make sense. Programmers always need syntax highlighting, line numbers and if they send it to somebody he or she should be able to see the exact way.
FirendPaste is one service answering by giving support for Syntax Highlighting according to chosen language. Here is the summary of features before we move into details.
- Custom Title to shared URL
- Add password lock.
- Syntax Highlighting.
- Version Support
- Fork from original url
- Embed code in form of scripts if you would like to put it on your site.
Since you can share with other programmers then its possible that he or she would like to change it, optimize the code and send you back. For this he need to not create another paste but can edit the same and send it back to you. If you would like to see the changes just hit the diff link on top of the page and you will see what changes / revisions had been made.
Sometimes You might not change but probably would like to copy and build something more on it. This feature is supported by forking feature of this clipboard. When you receive a URL shared with you, you can always fork it to copy into another URL
I would suggest this service to add search for the URL according to a unique key like one we have in Hey Paste it. This way users need to remember their tracking number only. So if you are programmer and share codes a lot with your friends check out FriendPaste
I am pretty sure there are many services like this. So the question goes to you, Which service do you use and would suggest?
