Online Notepad with auto save, convert to PDF and other features – Writer
If you are in a habit of noting down quotes, one liners, or for that matter imagine yourself in sitting in some meeting and so you might feel like noting down some excerpts or punch line sort of things, in such a case Writer is a cool online tool to be used. They call it an Internet Typewriter, this title suits this tool best.
Writer is awesome, you get a WYSIWYG editor, and it automatically saves what you type after every certain interval (probably a couple of minutes). If done with a particular note, you can choose to create a new note (either by using the ‘New’ button at the bottom of the editor or by simply ‘CTRL+n’), this saves the current note and opens a new blank note.
Writer doesn’t require any sign-up, all the notes you have saved will be accessible to you next time when you visit the Writer, they will be lost only if you reset you cookies, so for such a case you can create an account, to keep you notes safe for a long period of time.
You can get the number of words (even characters) from the ‘Word count’ button at the bottom of the editor; also you can convert and download the note to a PDF format, just by clicking the ‘PDF’ button.
An option to download the note in txt format is also there, the note can be sent to someone using one of the several sending modes available.
Let us have a look at all the features with the animation shown below.

Now, the question is why to use Writer, we already have notepad, Word and several other offline editors available.
The reply is, Writer provides you -
- Easy to use interface.
- One-click conversion to PDF.
- One-click to send the note to anyone, i.e. allows easy share.
- One-click to save and start a new note.
If they add a feature to add an image too while writing the notes, it will definitely make Writer a better tool and another reason to be loved by masses. Try Writer
