Xobni is an Outlook extension which is like an analytical and social tool for your emails. We have seen it in action before and talked how it organizes and analyzes emails better in outlook. Growing stronger, now Xobni has brought integration with Major Social Media Tools like Facebook and Skype and Yahoo mails.

Integrating Yahoo Mail in Outlook

Now you can search and read in Yahoo Mails from Microsoft Outlook express using Xobni. It connects to your yahoo mail account and starts indexing your mails. This is a good alternative to paid services of  Yahoo IMAP .

You can also reply to the yahoo mails from outlook but it will use the email accounts configured in your Outlook rather than yahoo account. You can also copy the mails and increase the details of the mail in recent conversation list. You should find this feature cool. But remember this is just indexing and nothing else.

Integration with Facebook :

In previous version Xobni was able to find details based on email id which used to match in Linkedin Profiles. With the addition of Facebook and Hoovers this can become stronger and will complete more profiles details.

For example now you can look at the Facebook pictures in Outlook express with just one click and even add people from there.

Integration with Skype:

You can also call the person right from Outlook express using  Skype addon. If there is any number availble in the mail , Xobni links that number to the Skype Addon thus letting you call from there.

However I am not sure if there is any direct integration with Skype Email id.  It would have been great if it could have pulled the Skype number according to the related email id.

What did I find Missing ?

There was one thing which I was looking for : Integration of the above features in business card. Why not add all the profile id in Business Card. Xobni can very well do by either creating columns or whatever it takes.

If I can have a business card in outlook with all social media + other regular contact , I can just search for some person get the details and use it on the move. I can print it too. If Xobni team is read this , I hope  they can do in next upgrade.

Schedule Meeting :

This feature I think I overlooked last time. You can schedule meeting with a person right from Xobni. It finds your schedule in outlook calendar and auto generates a email accordingly.
