Read New York Times online on Desktop
Times Reader is an Adobe AIR application, which allows you to read The New York Times online. Once downloaded and installed you can read the newspaper easily using this application.
If there was something which you missed to read on any the previous day of the week, no problem, you can get to read it as well.
This is how it looks.
You can browse the pages of newspaper using the column on right hand side, however if you want to read the full newspaper, you will have to go for the paid subscription.
The pages which are available for free seem to be sufficient, until and unless you have a habit of going through the whole newspaper thoroughly.
No-doubt you can already read it in the browser as well, but having a dedicated application on your system for reading the newspaper sounds to be good idea. Moreover reading The NY Times using an application won’t hamper your working in the web browser, keep it open and go through the newspaper when you feel comfortable.
This seems to be something like a desktop Avatar (with limited capabilities) of Amozn’s Kindle to me, though my insight about Kindle is not much.
Go ahead and try Times reader, share your thoughts about it with us. Download Times Reader
If you don’t have Adobe AIR already installed on your system, download it here.
