Read summary of online document or web page without opening it
Two days back we talked about Auto Summarizer which allows you to create sumarry of big articles into paragraphs. The only drawback it had was you need to copy paste the text inside it. Though that is a better approach as a web page can contain lot of other things. But if you wish something that can take a URL and also online document, its time you check out Great Summary. ( Via DownloadSquad )
Summary Created using a online word document
We tried Great Summary to summarize a word document and it worked. There are some junk text in it but the percentage is low. So if you have an online document and you want to read it without opening, use this. At least you would get summary of the document without opening it.
We tried the same thing with PDF and it failed giving out all garbage. They should add the adobe filter to read and this will become a pretty handy tool as PDF is most used document.
Summary created from a web page
Great Summary takes both text and url of a web page and creates summary. However the summary created are in number of lines specified rather than paragraphs which we get in Auto Summarizer. Thus its more consize and bulleted. You get the page number also from where the line is picked in the articles.
