How you target new visitors to become a reader?

Shankar Says: Well, quite a number of ways in fact. RSS feeds are offered just like any other blog, but the thing is I tell readers what this blog is all about clearly - in the about page, and in the sidebar where it can be easily seen. Such an easily seen description of my blog gives them a chance to subscribe immediately, if they think the content is relevant to them.

Email subscriptions are yet another way of targeting the not so tech-savvys, so the best thing I?m doing is that I?ve placed an email subscription form on my blog in a prominent position. This makes things easier for people to keep track of new articles, thereby they become readers.

Ashish: How you see you and your blog after 5 yrs ?

Shankar: Ah! 5 years is a long time - and frankly, I don?t know where I and my blog would be then. May be I?ll be a problogger that time, or a just another crazy blogger or my blog would have been deserted by me, for I might have got something interesting to do then. I just blog?
