Shock Desktop – desktop icons in nontraditional layouts
Shock Desktop is a small application, which lets you arrange your desktop icons in several nontraditional (not included in Windows by default) layouts.
The installer for Shock Desktop is 540KB download, install it to go through the experience of nontraditional layouts of the icons on your desktop.
There are several layout options, like some shapes e.g. Ellipse, Circle, Heart etc., your cal also choose the polygon layout, and moreover you can watch the icons flying to take the chosen shape.
Shown below are the snapshots when the chosen Layout is Ellipse.

Now align to Left is chosen, so icons move as if they are flying to attain the layout.
![]()
Now, the Align to Left Layout is done.

Shock Desktop can be accessed from the tray, and there are some more options, like create, delete, and modify profiles, and other available layouts.

Though the nontraditional layouts may not impress you much, but watching the transitions of icons when the layout is changed, is really a feast to eyes, you can speed up/down this transition, I am sure you are going to love it. If you want to preview it, visit the download page.
