Gravatar is one the most popular thing being used on internet which allows you to associate your email id with a picture you upload with them. Any Gravatar enabled blog will show your picture when you comment there. That’s  what Gravatar majorly used for, now lets take the next step.

How about updating all your contacts picture n your Gmail account with their gravatar image ? Sounds Damn Exciting. This way you will not only see the image of that person in gtalk  but you will see them when you hover over the email in received mails. This adds more value to the mailing system. However their email should have been registered with gravatar and with an uploaded image.

Ok talked enough, Arik has written a small program which allows you to sync your Google contacts with their Gravatars. You will .net framework to be installed on your computer to use this. Here are the screen shots and how it looks once done.

This could be the perfect way to update without any manual process. However this software is still in alpha stage. I had a good time talking with Arik , last night, to fix the bug I had and he fixed it very quickly. He has promised to make it little more faster once he gets more time.
