The extra shift menu of Window Vista’s right click
Vista has another menu feature which is hidden and becomes enabled only when you right click something holding shift key.
This allows you quickly add a file to quick launch or pin it to start menu. Moreover if you want the just the file location of the document just use copy as path. However this does not work with folders, just works on files excep copy as path option.

Nice find buddy, will be usable. thanks
Welcome man. I liked the zoom part a lot better@!!!
Hi there
I’ve been reading through a lot of observations by people on this “hidden” right-click menu. Personally I find it to be a nuisance of sorts: just as UAC tries to babysit the user (who technically “should” know what he’s doing) this “hiding” of what for me are the most valuable parts of the right-click menu is another fine example of Vista’s (and therefor MS’s, of course) patronizing attitude towards all potential users. So my question to you is: is there any way to make these extra features be shown permanently, without the need for the key to be pressed?
I’ll keep on looking for something myself, but although I do consider myself an above-average user I’m quite new to Vista and also not that much of a registry-magician (which is probably where I’ll need to be to make the magic happen)
I’d just love that
I’d appreciate any thoughts on the subject.
Cheers,
BG
@BeeGee: There should be some registry hacks for this but definitely there is no settings that you can change from windows directly.
