Lets start with a small story of a farmer and buyer

The farmer used to work hard and produce crop of high quality in the village. The buyer, who used to sell raw food at market , found about him . He went and made a deal with the farmer that he would buy all his rice , say 10$ per pound and give him cash payment. the farmer was happy as he has no worries for selling, he gets paid for all his crop.

Now lets switch to Buyer part, This guy was smart. He used to sell some rice and used to stock some and sell it again when demand goes high at high price. Thus he used to make money 10 times the farmer by selling his item over and over again. The farmer knew what the seller was doing but he did not do anything.

Take a moment and think, Why do you think farmer did not do anything ? Why was he selling his crop for cheap ? Why he did not take a lead to go to market and make good money ?

Coming to the point

Lot of people write good content but they fear from starting a site and generating money from that, I agree its not easy to get successful. So what they do? They sell their articles and trust me they sell it cheap as 10$.

Let us understand the principle of recurring money generation .

If you have an article which can get good traffic, the chances are that it will keep generating money for a long time, So your article which was sold for 10$ could possibly be generating 100$ in long term and hence making you the farmer.

What possibly a farmer could have done ?

He knew that he produces the best crop in village and he also knew that seller was making good money out of it. He could have demanded at least 30% of the money that seller could have generated which could have not give more money but also a decent price.

Why you think the buyer would pay more ?

He knows the farmer is the best and he wont make that amount of money with any other. So he could have afford to give a little more and still keep on making.

What you need to understand from this story ?

Understand your power and ability and sell it at right price. Writes who sell their article should understand that site which buy their content make damn more money and what you get is penny of it.

So next time you sell it, do a small bargain with the blogger or site owner who is going to by your content. Tell he you know how much this article can make money in long run. Don’t fear if you are good enough he would realize that its better to pay more than loose you.
