TweetMyPC: Unfortunately didn’t work for me, any suggestions?
TweetMyPC was recently launched, and as per several blogs and release notes, it can shutdown, logoff, or restart your PC remotely with a single tweet from your twitter count which is configured in the software and watches your tweet time line for those words.
Steps to use this as on the release page are -
- Create a new Twitter account for your PC, I created an account as StreetLap @ Twitter.

- Install the TweetMyPC, and provide the login details for this new account.

- Now from this newly created account for your PC, simply tweet any of the command, like shutdown, restart or logoff. TweetMyPC checks for the updates every minutes and should follow the command tweeted, but as shown in the snapshot above, none of the commands worked for me.
I tried it for my PC with Windows 7, and Ashish’s with Vista, and couldn’t get it working, the instructions to use it are simple enough, I don’t think I have committed any mistakes. As I said, TweetMyPC is currently being talked about at so many places, so, if I need to be corrected, please go ahead and correct me.
You can also give it a try and see if it works for you and point me to write direction. Download TweetMyPC
