Visual Explorer – A new web browser with some never before features
Visual Explorer, is a new web browser, claims to have the greatest range of must have features of any browser in the market. It could be seen as an Internet Explorer based web browser, reason being, same add-ons can be used, and favorites are copied from IE without any notifications etc.
I installed it today on my system for a test-ride and found some very interesting features, which I am enlisting here.
The Startup : Slecting themes
As soon as you install and choose to run the Visual Explorer, it displays a message window, which allows you to choose the ‘Theme’, along with the ‘Homepage’, as shown here.
You can either enable or disable this window to be shown every time you launch Visual Explorer, choosing a theme for browser is something, which might attract few of us, though the homepage function is totally useless, which either allows you to choose the BlueG (A search engine) or you can export your homepage from IE, doesn’t make much sense.
The Navigate Bar
The Navigate Bar, has 2 forward and 2 backward, one for going one level backward or forward and other for jumping more than one level forward and backward, I think, only the multiple level jump is sufficient as in Firefox, one trying to go just one level backward or forward, can either select it from drop down menu, or can click the button once.
Tab Browser
Tab Browser allows you to view all of the pages currently open in different tabs, in the form of thumbnail images, makes it easier to move from one tab to another saving the clicks, useful only if somehow the titles on the pages are confusing.
The Web Searching with Visual Explorer
To perform web search, Visual Explorer is a bit advance in sense that it allows you to search several specific services for your keywords, so in spite of searching the whole web, you can go for a smaller domain.
Internet Explorer add-ons
Internet Explorer add-ons go pretty well with the Visual Explorer, so saying that Visual Explorer has a wide range of options for add-ons too, would not be a hyperbole.

The Explorer Bar
This one is probably the best feature of Visual Explorer, before I speak about it, have a look at this animated image.
So you can also access the following set via the explorer bar, whereas not all of them are accessible in browsers available as yet, at least not with this ease,
- Favorites
- History
- Search
- RSS
- Source
- Folders
- Notepad
This was the list of features I found to be new, give Visual Explorer a try, there are several other features and customization, which are new to web browsers, but they didn’t impress me much, in terms of utility.
