Yahoo Messenger for Vista Discontinued [ Download Here ]

Note: In case you want to download and use Yahoo messenger for Vista version  Download the file @ Yahoo Messenger for Vista Setup. However we are not supporting it and its not official version but works fine. So if you want to download yahoo messenger for Vista just use that link.

You can say bad news or you can say the financial crisis might have eaten up but The  Yahoo Messenger VIsta Version had been discontinued and will no longer will be availble for download. This was my favorite messenger till now because of the looks and feel though it had some feature lacking like webcam. There is another reason which i feel was whole lot of delay ( it came out in almost a year later of their announcement ).

They even had a preview release for 64 Bit Vista. I am really really shocked. This is what the yahoo messenger blog says :

As of today, Yahoo! Messenger for Vista will no longer be available for download from the Yahoo! Messenger website. We have discontinued stand-alone releases of the Yahoo! Messenger for Vista application in order to focus on delivering one Windows experience that is optimized for all Windows users.

Well all said we cant help it. But if you want to still try out Yahoo Messenger . Keith at Techie Buzz had uploaded one for us. ( Thanks ) Downlaod the file @ Yahoo Messenger for Vista Setup

PS: I have a copy also. In case you dont get this working just leave a comment. However keep in mind we are not supporting this either way. Its just if you want to experience it.

So how do you feel ? Would you miss this application ? Would you like to have it start again ?

(10/28/2008 6:19:01 AM): : Yahoo is shutting down on November 17th. They want to get rid of free messenger. If you delete this and don’t pass it on, your name will be deleted. A lot of people have already been deleted. Right click on the group name of your buddylist and click, Send Instant Message to All in Group.. This is Yahoo President Anna Rubenecia, I am sorry to announce that Yahoo has reached its maximum number of accounts two million. If you would like to keep your account for free send this to everyone on your list. This way we can know which accounts are being used and which accounts we can delete. Send this within 8 days and your account will remain free….. i dont believe this but w/e 11:58 AM
