You might get a vote button for Google search results
By Ashish MohtaYup, don’t get surprising but Goggle labs seems to be experimenting with Vote like button which allows users to give a vote ( positive or negative) for a particular site which comes in search engine result. When I first saw it I was in little panic that will it affect the Search Engine ranking but nope that would be bad right.
Google Says
This experiment lets you influence your search experience by adding, moving, and removing search results. When you search for the same keywords again, you’ll continue to see those changes. If you later want to revert your changes, you can undo any modifications you’ve made. Note that this is an experimental feature and may be available for only a few weeks.
My Views on this:
I would say its a very nice Google is going to do as it can let users find sites which are actually fulfilling their requirement, Search engines are keyword based but that’s not how human mind works. We are forced to learn search tricks to get result and what you require might be buried in 100th page of Google search result.
How it might affect your traffic:
If you have right content people can vote for you and Google might use that data for their internal purposes to manually find if your post is worth against the post which is ranking above you because of high valued keyword not right content. However it can impact negative also if your link get lot of negative votes, who knows some angry user but just spam you out
It would be interesting to see how Google uses this data in future. As far as my analysis says it is just tip of ice burg and there is something more which will change the shape of Search Engines…..You just never know.

Top Voted result is another good thought. That makes me wonder how much traffic some site will loose and how much others will gain!!!
