Not very sure but I would suggest you to use ESET Antivirus. I had been using it from 2 years and its very light weight and doesnt give any problem. Yes you need to buy it but.

Hi,
My DELL got two partitions. Vista is in "C" and I was been trying to install Ubuntu in "D". When the process reached to select the partitions, I found three partition options. Not aware of the third one. But the one which I kept as "D" - which 'm not able to process. The error it was delivering is, root file system missing something like that.

Then I selected another option where it has provided to select the partition "C" and said, Ubuntu will get install in parallel to Vista. And also provided a seek bar to select how much space I want to assign it to Ubuntu. I tried that also by selecting 100 GB. Then a message appeared saying Resizing partition 0% - This may take several minutes I waited for 1 hour but there was no response.

So suggest me how to get rid off this and move further ?

TIA

Badmash : Great Since you have a USB drive please refer this post of ours: Quickly create copy of your Windows Setup into USB Drive ( Read more )

Step 1: You need to have setup of Windows on your computer. If not please your USB drive to get it copied to any of your partition.

Step 2: Use our above tutorial to create a bootable USB device.

Step 3: Get into your BIOS and set USB device as first bootbale device. You should keep the USB device plugged in when you get into BIOS.

Step 4: Once you boot, change your directory to where the Windows Setup is there. Launch the Setup.exe. Keep your CD key handy.

For your second question you need to do a System Restore and if that doesnt work best will be to reinstall.
