    Key Master

You can do the installation in two ways. Second is little tricky. Try this first.

Insert the vista cd in your computer when you are in windows XP. Go to your vista cd icon and double click it.

This will start Vista setup. Choose for clean start. Dont choose upgrade. You can choose upgrade also but I would recommend clean installation.

This process of installation will restart your computer after few minutes. When you computer restarts you might get option saying

    a. Vista Installation
    b. Windows XP.

if you dont get this Vista installation will take over and then it will continue. You will get the format option there.

    Second way :

You need to enter your BIOS for this. Basically whenever you computer boots it looks for a boot device. By default its CD and then HDD. However it can reverse.

    1. Put the bootable cd in your cdrom and then restart. When your computer starts, see if you get vista installation or something like that starting. If this is the case go ahead. While you install you will get option to format.

    2. If the windows starts loading then you will have to reboot again. At this time keep f2 or sometimes del key pressed. This will take you to bios. There you will took for boot device configuration and change it to cdrom if something else is selected. make sure its the first boot device.

save and restart. Keep the bootable cd in. and step one will follow.
