Blackphone is not dead, we saw them making a dash last year at MWC and they are back with better and improved OS along with two new hardware–Blackphone 2 and Blackphone+ Tablet–with the world’s first enterprise privacy platform.
Powered by privacy features, Blacpkphone 2 specification cannot be ignored. The phone is powered by an octa-core cpu with 3GB RAM, 32GB of storage, a bigger battery and a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Looking at the pictures of the blackphone 2, it looks solid for its build quality but light as Engadget reports it. Blackphone+ Tablet is a privacy-focused tablet coming later in 2015. They both are coming in later half of the year.
What is more interesting than phone is the priavy platofrm and that for enterprise. This sounds like Blackberry to be honest. The devics run PrivatOS Android-based operating system, suite of apps and store. The company behind it has no details on how they want to go ahead with their new platform as of now.
Also, the guys at the event are having rather bad time because the devices are stuck into loop and no demo can be recorded.
