Add a new page in your Chrome Start Up is still not easy as you need to scroll and select a page from your browsing history but good news is, Development channel of Google Chrome shows auto complete feature is coming for this. I am sure this feature will soon be rolling out to the regular version.
New Features :
- Search by website name instead of URL alone.
- No more pop up.
- Auto complete.
- Add a link button is replaced with a text box where you can type.
Surprisingly the auto complete new feature is not implemented for Set Home Page option. You need to manually type the url there.
