We have posted about services like MagMyPic, Write on it etc., we also have the photo-fun section which allows you to add your photos on several objects and location. Here is another nice service on same lines, Cover Dude.
Cover Dude allows you to add your photo on magazine covers, there are several categories so that you can easily browse through and find the kind of magazine on which you want to get featured.
Sign-up with the service, login to your account, select a category to view the available magazine covers in it.
Later, as soon as you click on a magazine template, you get the option to browse and upload a photo to be featured on that magazine’s cover page.
Once the Photo is uploaded you can shrink, enlarge or set the proportion to photo to suit the magazine cover.
You also get to see an option so that you can add a text as well on this cover in order to compliment the photo.
Once satisfied with the preview panel, you can save this magazine cover (featuring your photo on it), you can save it, and you will be redirected to a new page, which has options to post this photo on several other services, as shown below, you also get the embed code for the same.
If you want you can either buy a high resolution image for the same or buy the printed version of it.
The service works pretty fine, only issue I faced was it is a bit slow.
Creating some fake magazine covers and getting the prints using Cover Dude could also be a nice gift idea to make your friends smile.
