Windows Update by default is configured so that it can be installed by any user of your computer when prompted. Though its ok as updates should be installed but if you want to know what is getting updated and only you should do it, here are the steps :
- Type Windows Update in Windows 7 Start Menu Search box click on item which says “Windows Update”
- Now on left panel, click on change settings
- Look for option which says Allow all users to install updates on this computer.
- Uncheck it and you are done.
That’s it, Now only you will be able to install updates. Make sure when you do this change its being done with an account with administrative power.
